HTC Hero Review
The HTC Hero is the third Android based phone released by HTC and is considered to be one of the best up and coming mobile phones in 2009. The biggest feature to pave the way for HTC’s success is the development of HTC Sense which is the bread and butter of this phone giving the user the ability to personalise their phone with the option of using up to 7 different homescreens.

Another sweet feature is the nice 3.2″ TFT touchscreen which utilises the multi-touch functionality making it super easy to use, even for those entering the elite mobile phone market.
The phone comes with 512MB of internal memory which can easily be expanded to 16GB with a microSD card. The camera is also a decent size measuring in at 5 megapixels with autofocus. Also included is a decent media player and insant messaging so you can connect with your friends quicker and easier. A GPS system and video recording capabilities are also included in this amazing HTC package.
For those concerned about network capabilities the hero is compatible with the 3G network and features UMTS support with a quad band GSM. The top download speed available on the HTC Hero is 7.2 Mbps using HSDPA and a top upload speed of 2.0Mbps utilising the HSUPA system. WiFi is also available on the phone making it very diverse and giving the user ample flexibility when it comes to connecting to the internet.
The CPU that powers the HTC Hero is a Qualcomm MSM7200A which operates at 528Mhz and the internal RAM is a fairly nice 288MB. The battery allows for up to 7 hours of talktime on the 3G network and a massive 31 days of standby time. So if you plan to talk a lot on the phone the HTC Hero is a great option as it can last up to nearly one third of the whole day.
