HTC Legend Review

HTC is releasing a wide variety of mobile phones including the HTC Legend which will feature a decent 3.2″ display touchscreen that will render in a 320 x 480 pixel display and the trackball has become obsolete as it has been replaced by a more stylish optical one coupled with clickable surround. If you turn the mobile phone over you will find a decent 5 megapixel camera that has onboard LED flash, autofocus and GEO teagging capabilties.

As with previous versions of HTC mobile phones this phone is powered by the Google Android 2.1 operating system and also comes with a singular social networking application called friend stream that helps compact a few social netowrking sites into one fluid application. Friend Stream will show updates from Twitter and Facebook giving the mobile user constant updates from both sites.

The HTC Legend is also powered by a Qualcomm 7227 Processor which is a pretty solid unit for this type of phone. Physically the phone measures in at 112mm x 56mm x 12mm and weighs 126G’s. The battery that powers the phone is a 1300 mAh battery which is able to give 6 hours of continuous talktime on the 3G network and up to 23 days of standby time.

The HTC Legend operates on the 3.5G network which has lightning fast download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to a maximum of 2Mbps and is also WiFi compliant.

The phone is expected to be released in April of 2010 and no price has been set yet but should be similiar to the price of the Hero when it was first launched.
