HD Xperia Model Leaked
Seems like an addition to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia line of smartphones is underway, as news have been popping up all over the Internet. We even get to take a look at some of the specs of the phone thanks to a few pictures that have also been leaked, one of which shows the system information screen. The device is being mentioned under different names, such as Nozomi and Xperia Arc HD, but they’re all just speculation until Sony Ericsson comes up with some sort of official announcement.

The phone uses the same design language as other Xperia smartphones, but there’s a strange line running along the lower part of the phone that emits blue light. The phone appears to be pretty thin, although it’s a bit hard to say for sure from the available pics. The distinct feature of the leaked model is its screen – it has a resolution 1280×720 pixels and measures at 4.3 inches. There are few phones out there with a 720p screen, Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus being one of them, but the one on the Xperia should be sharper considering it’s 0.35 inches smaller compared to Nexus’.
There are no details regarding the camera, apart from the rumour that it will be capable of shooting full HD videos and even capture still images while doing so. Apparently, this is made possible thanks to the dual-core ARMv7 processor. 691 MB of RAM is a bit underwhelming though, considering most high-end smartphones utilize 1 GB RAM chips.
The pictures suggest that the Nozomi is running Android Gingerbread. However, considering the fact that the phone hasn’t even been officially announced, chances are high it’ll be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich before reaching mass production.
The Experia Arc HD, if that’s how it’s called, seems like to be aimed square at the latest high-end smartphones out there, such as Nokia’s Xperia Arc S deals if it’s a Sony Ericsson model you’re after.
