HTC Desire C In UK On May 24

HTC Desire C In UK On May 24

The Desire C first leaked in Vodafone Portugal’s May catalog, and yesterday was officially announced. Now when we know that the first country where this device will be launched is the UK, the next thing we want to find out is the exact release date. Though mobile operators have not yet announced anything, one of the retailers has already mentioned the launch date for the Desire C.

The HTC Desire C is the second low-end device in the Taiwanese company’s 2012 portfolio after the HTC One V. This device looks similar to other HTC-branded smartphones, though its specs are not that attractive. The hardware of the Desire C won’t be the selling point of it, because the phone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, which is an amazing feature — HTC has only two devices updated to ICS and both of them are American models.

Well, the phone will be at your doors on May 24, which is on next Thursday, and its SIM-free version will cost you £189.99 (VAT included). The specs list of the device matches the pricing — a 3.5-inch 320×480 touchscreen, a 600MHz processor with 512 MB of RAM, a 5 MP camera, 4GB of native storage, microSD card support, a 1,230mAh battery, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and Beats Audio. This is one of the most affordable Android handsets with a respectable brand available in the market, so I guess it will sell well.
