Quad-Core LG Optimus 4X HD Launched In Europe

Quad-Core LG Optimus 4X HD Launched In Europe

It’s over, the quad-core LG Optimus 4X HD is finally launched in Europe — while yesterday I was writing about the latest news of the company, it was releasing this phone. The first country where the phone is launched in is Germany, though the manufacturer has promised to bring it to newer markets in coming days. The next destinations of the Optimus 4X HD will be the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, and Italy — all major markets in this continent. Moreover, LG has also mentioned the device will appear in Asia and Latin America “in the weeks and months ahead”, whatever it means.

As for the prices, the LG Optimus 4X HD is available in Germany via Amazon for €504 (the white version) and €499 (the black version).

Though this awesome smartphone is already launched in Europe and will be available in the rest of the world very soon, I have to state its launch was delayed a bit. The LG Optimus 4X HD was announced back in February at Mobile World Congress 2012. Its specs list is quite attractive and probably this phone is able to compete with the HTC One X and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3. I say “probably” because though our hero is armed well, LG still yields in terms of reputation.

As the LG Optimus 4X HD is already available for purchase, we can have a look at the way this phone has passed, and look at its key features for the last time. The device sports a 4.7-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot, an 8MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera on the front. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is one the thinnest smartphones in the market coming at 8.9mm thickness.
