LG Optimus 4X HD Coming to UK in July

LG Optimus 4X HD Coming to UK in July

The Samsung Galaxy S3, also known as ‘Android King’, will be launched in coming weeks, but this beast won’t be alone in the market — there are some Android-based devices that are able to compete with the Galaxy S3. One of those devices is the LG Optimus 4X HD, which is already launched in Germany, and its global launch will start from the UK. This market has been very kind towards LG, and the Optimus 4X HD is expected to sell well, too. The only unknown thing was the launch date of this phone in the UK, but now it’s also uncovered — the LG Optimus 4X HD will come to the UK in July.

The most funny thing is — this is when the Galaxy S3 will appear in stores, so we can assume by this move LG is trying to make some competition to Samsung’s flagship. Though there is no hint whether UK mobile operators will be offering it, too, we know some of the retailers are already accepting pre-orders for the Optimus 4X HD. The price tag this handset is £456, which is rather expensive, but I guess this phone is worth it.

At the moment the LG Optimus 4X HD is the most powerful smartphone of the company. Among its selling points we can mention a 4.7-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot, an 8MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera on the front. Plus, it runs Android 4.0 ICS, which is a real advantage, especially if we take into account that other top manufacturers have not managed to upgrade most of their smartphones yet.
