Sony Xperia Go In UK On July 2
The Sony Xperia Go was announced a month ago alongside with the Xperia Acro S, and both handsets are waterproof. Before these smartphones were unveiled the most rugged handsets in the world had been the Motorola Defy and the Defy Plus, which came with IP67 certification meaning the phones can withstand submersion in up to one meter for 30 minutes. Now this niche is supplemented with two new devices that don’t yield to Moto’s handsets in any aspect; vice versa, they look even more attractive and are packed with fresher features.
Till today we had no idea when the Xperia Go, which is the main competitor of the Motorola Defy handsets, was going to be launched. But now we have learned that it’s coming to the UK will on July 2.
As usual, the Sony Xperia Go will land on the UK via retailers first, then it will be offered by mobile operators as well. Though the Xperia Go can’t be called a high-end smartphone with astonishing features, its durability indicators stand out. As the certification says, this phone is more durable than any smartphone can be. Even its screen is made of a material that can track a wet finger. Sometimes it seems to me the Xperia Go is made to be used under the water.
Anyway, it’s also a good smartphone packed with respectable features such as a 3.5-inch HVGA Reality Display at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, a dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of native storage expandable via a microSD card slot and a 1305mAh built-in battery, and it measures 111×60.3×9.8mm.
The phone’s price varies from retailer to retailer costing from £219.97 to £224.99. It’s not expensive compared to many other phones like this, so if you have been looking for a rugged smartphone with a stylish design, Sony has something for you.
