LG Optimus L5 Offered At The Lowest Price

LG Optimus L5 Offered At The Lowest Price

LG has several smartphones that are very famous, and they are expected to become even more popular soon. Among them we can mentione the Optimus Vu with its unusual aspect ratio. This handset was launched in Korea only, but I was sure it wouldn’t stay there, because real smartphone lovers would like to own such a device, too. Now we know the phone has passed the FCC gates and will be launched via Verizon in coming weeks. The next handset is the LG Optimus 4X HD, which sports a quad-core processor and is one of the best Android devices nowadays. Well, a number of other phones can be included in this list, too, but at the moment I would like you to pay attention to the L-style devices — I have news that will surprise you.

The second phone from the L line is the Optimus L5, which has already started its trip in Europe. The first European country to launch it is Germany — the local Amazon store requires €189 for its unlocked model. That’s about $239, and it’s quite an affordable price tag for such a smartphone, but wait — there is another country where the LG Optimus L5 is even cheaper. And that’s… Canada! I guess it sounds a bit strange, since Canada has never been kind towards the products of this manufacturer.

Canadian Bell will be selling the device for only $199.95 off-contract starting July 10, while the three-year agreement will take the phone’s price to zero. This is quite a good price for an LG phone packed with a 4-inch touchscreen with 320 x 480 pixel resolution and 144ppi pixel density, a single-core 800MHz Qualcom MSM7225A CPU with the Adreno 200 GPU, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of native storage with microSD card support. It also has a 5MP camera, a 1540mAh battery, and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The LG Optimus L5 is already available in several markets, and its next destination is Central and South America. So we hope once the device is launched there, European mobile operators and retailers will reduce the L5’s pricing as well.
