Sony Xperia SL Leaked In An Indonesian Database
Sony has many smartphones in its current portfolio, but only a few of them are true high-end devices. Many Sony-branded handsets can’t boast of any awesome features and are mainly designed for those who want to own an Android smartphone with decent features and good build quality. This is the same strategy Taiwanese HTC used to follow for several years, but then they understood that launching many smartphones in a short period of time isn’t really a good idea — it’s hard for people to choose one of them, and besides, the chosen smartphone will become outdated after a few months when the company releases something new.
Sony doesn’t have so many handsets to throw people in confusion, but it seems like they are following HTC’s strategy now. Is it really a good idea?
Another leak shows us the alerted version of the Sony Xperia S. I am talking about a handset called the Sony Xperia SL and leaked in the database of the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. If we had no other info, we’d think this is the follow-up to the original Xperia S, but as the phone was leaked with a model name of LT26ii, we tend to think this is the modified version of the Xperia S. Our assumptions are conditioned with the fact that the Sony Xperia S has a model name of LT26i, which means these two phones should have many common features.

However, until Sony makes an official statement, we can’t say anything for sure. But if speculating a little, the Sony Xperia SL can be the Asian version of the Xperia S, or a model with a different set of 3G/4G radios.
