Sony Xperia Go Coming To UK Via O2
The Xperia Go, one of Sony’s waterproof handsets, was expected to launch in the UK via retailers first, and the launch date of the phone was initially announced to be July 2. This date came and passed but those who had been waiting for this handset were left empty-handed.
The Xperia Go doesn’t boast of many high-end features, but its IP67 certification and ruggedness is what many people want their new phone to have, that’s why it’s so anticipated at the moment.
When the British retailers started getting pre-orders for it promising to launch it on July 2, its price was varying between £219.97 and £224.99. Now when mobile operators interfere with the game, retailers will have to reduce the pricing, because most likely operators will be offering it for free on contract. One of those operators is O2, which has already put up a page in its website with the description of the Xperia Go.
Unfortunately, O2 UK has not yet announced how much exactly the phone will cost, but looking at other similar devices, a two-year contract will provide a free pick up. So if you liked the aforementioned deal details, meet the featres it comes with: a 3.5-inch HVGA Reality Display at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, a dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of native storage expandable via a microSD card slot and a 1305mAh built-in battery. The phone runs Android 4.0 ICS out of the box, which is also a good selling point.
