HTC Proto — Successor To HTC One V
The HTC One V is the weakest representative of the One line, but it sells well thanks to its decent specs. However, it still has some features that need to be improved. Fortunately, HTC also thinks so, and it is soon going to launch a smartphone that will be the direct replacement of the current One V. We’ve already heard many rumors about a mysterious devices called the HTC Proto, and now it turns out that it will be the follow up to the One V.
According to some rumors, the HTC Proto will sport a 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a 5MP camera. The other features will be identical to those we have seen in the HTC One V, thus the only difference will be the screen size and the processor. I think these two are the most vulnerable features of the HTC One V, and by replacing them with larger screen and better processor, the company will make the phone even more popular.

On the whole, the HTC One V is a perfect smartphone, but when it comes to web browsing speed and gaming, the screen and processor are not able to provide flawless performance. The enhanced screen and processor will help users work with 3D graphics 2-3 times faster, which is exactly what we are requiring from HTC.
The housing and other features of this phone still remain unknown, so we can’t say whether it will come in a unibody aluminum shell like the HTC One V, but the same rumors claim it will be 9.62mm thick. The HTC Proto is awaited to be unveiled at the same time alongside with the HTC One X+ and the upcoming phablet of the HTC.
