New HTC Tablet Leaked
Not so long ago we learned that HTC wants to reenter the tablet market and is now in negotiations with Pegatron, which will produce its new tablets. For a long time the company couldn’t decide if their new tablets should come at 7 or 10 inches. But now we have a leak showing a mysterious 10-inch tablet made by HTC.
HTC’s first attempt to enter the tablet market failed, because the company was trying to do it with two not-that-outstanding handsets — the HTC Flyer and the Jetstream. Both devices failed because they were priced too high. This experience made HTC revise its price policy, though we can’t say whether the leaked tablet will be sold at an affordable price or not.
Тhe new HTC tablet looks quite attractive thanks to its unusual design. First of all, its frontal and rear cameras are located on the bottom. If there is no difference where the back camera is, the frontal camera is set where the bezel is, which is very strange and I guess uncomfortable.
The overall design of this tablet resembles the look of the HTC One X. I personally liked its polycarbonate body and the rounded curves all around. On the other hand, some sources think this tablet has some lineaments copied from the iMac. If Apple also thinks so, there is a chance that this device won’t ever be released — remember what happened with Samsung.
However, HTC has not said anything officially, which means the chances are big we are dealing with an early prototype, a promo, or HTC is just trying different things out. IFA 2012 is getting closer, and we hope to hear some news on HTC tablets there.
